MENTOR AND MENTEE BOOK
Abstract
The "Mentor and Mentee Book" project is a comprehensive application developed to efficiently manage relationships through a user-friendly graphical interface. Implemented using Python's Tkinter library for the front-end and SQLite for the back- end, the system aims to simplify data retrieval and updating processes. The front- end features include fields for entering mentor names and student IDs, with buttons to view corresponding data, alongside a password-protected admin section for secure data management. Admins can view all records, update student details, and change mentor information. The back-end leverages SQLite to handle storage and retrieval of mentor and mentee data, providing functions for fetching and updating information securely. Key functionalities include displaying mentee lists based on mentor names, showing mentor details for given student IDs, and allowing admins to update
student records after password authentication. The application ensures basic security through password protection for admin functions, preventing unauthorized access. By integrating a user-friendly interface with a robust database, the "Mentor and Mentee Book" application serves as an effective tool for managing mentor and mentee data, with potential for further enhancements in security and features.
