Visually Impaired Assistant
Abstract
Visual impairment refers to vital function loss of vision that can't be corrected by medication or ordinary lenses like spectacles. There are cases where the image appears to be distorted to the patient which can cause difficulties in perception and have trouble locating objects. It refers to a condition where someone suffers from any of the subsequent conditions. Vision is one of the essential human senses and it plays the foremost important role in human perception about the encircling environment. Therefore a large amount of research has been published. For this project we took the difficulty of those people and made a system that will help them maneuver through their daily routine, we wish to explore the likelihood of using the hearing sense to know visual objects. The system makes use of machine learning techniques to help build a system assisting the visually impaired navigate through their complex surroundings. Objects detected from the surroundings are made known by their names and converted to speech.
