Design and Implementation of an Automated Invoice and Billing System

Abstract

In the modern business environment, efficient and accurate billing plays a vital role in the success of organizations. Billing and invoicing are fundamental processes that directly impact financial management and customer satisfaction. However, many small and medium-scale enterprises still rely on manual or semi-automated billing systems. These traditional methods are time-consuming, prone to human error, difficult to maintain, and lack proper data security. Manual billing often results in incorrect calculations, loss of records, duplication of data, and delayed invoice generation.

This research paper presents the design and implementation of an automated invoice and billing system that addresses the limitations of conventional billing methods. The proposed system automates key billing operations such as customer management, product management, invoice generation, tax calculation, and report generation using a centralized database. The system provides a user-friendly interface that enables users to perform billing operations efficiently while ensuring data accuracy and security.

By reducing manual effort and automating repetitive tasks, the system improves operational efficiency and minimizes errors.
