Multi-Sensor based Condition Monitoring System and Evaluate the Thermal Behavior Of 3 Axis Milling Machine
Abstract
This research examines the key status of sensor technology and its application in the 3 Axis Milling Machine process to monitor machining signal for Tool Condition Monitoring (TCM) systems. Cutting force, torque, vibration, acoustic emission, current/power, sound, and temperature from 3 Axis Milling Machine operations are briefly discussed with the purpose of identifying the TCM characteristics. Sensors that can measure machining signals were examined, including both commercial and research equipment. This research examines current trends in sensor systems and their possibilities for future research.
