Design and Fabrication of a Miniature Drill Jig for Round Shaft Objects

Abstract


This mini engineering project focuses on the design and fabrication of a precision drill jig specifically tailored for round shaft objects. The objective is to create a compact and efficient tool that ensures accurate and consistent drilling of holes in round shafts. The project involves careful measurement and analysis of the round shaft objects, followed by the design and construction of a sturdy frame to securely hold the objects in place during drilling. The fabrication process includes selecting suitable materials, cutting and shaping components, and drilling alignment holes. The final drill jig is tested for alignment and functionality, with adjustments made as necessary. The successful completion of this project will result in a novel and practical tool that can be utilized for precise drilling in various applications involving round shaft objects.
