Honeycomb Sandwich Structures

Abstract

In this review, honeycomb sandwich structures were ready and tried. Facesheets of sandwich structures were made via carbon fiber epoxy network composites while Nomex® honeycomb was utilized as center material. An epoxy-based cement film was utilized to bond the composite facesheets with honeycomb center. Four different restoring temperatures going from 100oC to 130oC were applied with relieving seasons of 2h and 3h. Three-point twist test was performed to examine the mechanical exhibition of honeycomb sandwich designs and accordingly upgrade the restoring boundaries. It was uncovered that the mix of a temperature of 110oC alongside a relieving season of 2h offered the ideal mechanical execution along with low harm in honeycomb center and facesheets.
