Oscillating Paddle Bicycle- A Case Study

Abhishek Anand

Abstract

A bicycle is used for very sawed-off distances in transport. It is a type of two wheel vehicle which is operated by a rider. It is very environmental friendly and very cheap means of transport. The present mechanism of cycle has many demerits. One of the major problems faced by present mechanism of bicycle is its less efficiency. So it is very time consuming to ride bicycle. Now a days most of the human uses the locomotives in present era which affect our environment to a great confine because motor vehicle produced harmful gases.  In this research paper, we have tried to increase the gear ratio three times to that of conventional bicycle by the use of additional chain sprocket, as compound chain sprocket will increase the efficiency of bicycle. The uniqueness of this paper is that we are forcing the paddles to oscillatory movement which provide motion of the bicycle.
