Abstract

Entire medical staff fells challenge in giving treatment to a patient who is physically challenged because they are not able to speak nor they can move their body. For helping medical staff we have proposed a system that will decode the patients hand gesture and convert it in to the speech. This proposed system, use of hand gestures reading system equipped with gestures and flex sensors connected to every finger and connected to the RF Transmitter as an input alongside the loudspeaker. This technique powered by a battery-powered circuitry to run it. Also, this technique will contain different words and sentences which will help physically challenged patients to deliver basic messages. The system reads a patient’s hand gesture for various variations of hand movement. A processor constantly receives input sensor values then processes it, then searches for matching message for the set of sensor values. As soon as it found in memory, the message is regained and is spoken out using text to speech processing via interfaced speaker.
