Abstract

This paper describes the design implementation and testing of a colour sensor-based pick and place robotic arm that automates sorting and placing objects by their colours the system combines colour detection with precise servo motor control using an esp8266 microcontroller to create an efficient automated solution for handling objects the power supply includes a transformer rectifier filter circuit and voltage regulator to ensure stable and clean power to all components when the colour sensor detects an object the esp8266 processes the data and sends control signals to the servo motors which move the robotic arm to pick up the object and place it in the correct spot based on its colour testing showed high accuracy in colour detection and object placement with reliable performance during long operation periods the modular design makes it easy to scale and adapt for different uses from educational demos to small industrial sorting tasks this project shows how sensing technology microcontroller control and precise motor movement can work together to create a practical cost-effective automated sorting solution for situations where manual sorting is slow or difficult.
