A Non-Isolated DC-DC Converter with High Voltage Gain for Microgrid Applications

Dr. N. Archana, Dr. R. Latha, Manoj Kumar M

Abstract

The incorporation of sustainable energy resources such as solar and fuel cells into DC microgrids is one of their main selling points. These dc power sources have low output voltages, therefore in order to link the dc microgrid, high gain dc-dc converters are needed. Two non-isolated inductors are used in the suggested topology, and they are coupled serially or parallelly during discharging and charging modes. The fundamental benefit of thesetype of converter is it operates switches for two distinct duty ratios, allowing for significant voltage gain without the need of an excessive duty ratio. In-depth discussion is given regarding the suggested converter's steady-state analysis employing two distinct duty ratios. The performance of a20/400 V  circuit for a dc-dc converter with high voltage output is constructed, and results of experiments are used to validate the performance.
