Abstract


Detoxification is the natural process of removing harmful substances from the body, primarily through organs like the liver, kidneys, and intestines. While the body effectively detoxifies itself, modern lifestyles often overload these systems. This can lead to various health issues, including fatigue, digestive problems, and chronic diseases.

This review article explores the physiological mechanisms of detoxification, the impact of modern lifestyles on these processes, and the effectiveness of popular detox methods, including diets, supplements, and "detox drinks."

Detox drinks are beverages marketed to enhance the body's natural detoxification. Examples include lemon water, ginger tea, and vegetable juices. These drinks often contain antioxidants, anti-inflammatory compounds, and diuretics, which may support liver function, improve digestion, and aid in fluid removal.

 This review article will dive into the physiological instruments of detoxification, the impacts of present-day ways of life on the body's characteristic detox forms, and the viability of detox diets, supplements, and other hones in advancing wellbeing.

This review article aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of detoxification processes, their benefits, and the potential risks associated with various detox practices, based on current scientific evidence.
