Abstract

The effects of poor joint performance in beams and columns have been brought to light by the behavior of reinforced concrete moment resisting frame structures in recent earthquakes that have occurred all over the world. A lot of research into the intricate mechanisms and safe behavior of beam column joints led to the development of code recommendations. This study conducts a critical analysis of the well-established codes' recommendations for designing and detailing rigid diaphragm beam column joints. In this study customary piece and Pre-tensioning section is thought of and impact on bar segment joint is concentrated on utilizing STAAD. Software that takes into account non-linear analysis and lateral force (P-delta). Our research's primary objective is to ascertain the effects of nonlinear analysis on the joints of a three-dimensional frame for a G+8 high-rise multi-story building employing STAAD and P-delta analysis.
