Anshul V Rao, Jayeshkumar Ramchandrabhai Pitroda, Reshma L. Patel

Abstract

This research investigates the diverse facets of concrete paving technology, encompassing its historical evolution, material composition, construction techniques, technological advancements, performance metrics, environmental impact, economic considerations, and future prospects. As a foundational element in modern construction, concrete paving is examined for its durability and adaptability in infrastructure projects. The study analyses the intricate components and properties of concrete mixtures, emphasizing contemporary additives enhancing performance. Construction methodologies, from subgrade preparation to advanced placement methods, are scrutinized, with a focus on the role of curing methods in ensuring pavement durability. Technological innovations such as roller-compacted concrete (RCC) and sustainability practices underscore the industry's commitment to resilience. The paper concludes with key findings, emphasizing the pivotal role of concrete paving in contemporary construction, and proposes directions for future research and development, contributing essential insights to the ongoing evolution of this technology.
