Effect of Accelerated curing on Compressive Strength of Concrete

Zahid Mohd. Wani, Kapil Bhutani, Ajay Thakur

Abstract

In the fast forward and accelerated world, time is money but curing of concrete in construction takes too much of precious time and the total cost is directly proportional time. Thus, accelerated curing is the need of hour. It leads to a more frequent usage of formwork, reduction in the charges for storage facilities, other overhead charges and also increases speed of construction. Now it is realized that the unnecessary delay in waiting for 28 days to judge the quality of concrete by conventional concrete curing that becomes uneconomical so the conventional method needs replacement by accelerated method of curing.
