Sathanandham. T, Vijayan. V, Satheskumar. K

Abstract

Self-Compacting Concrete is a highly workable concrete that no need to vibrator and under its own weight it fills the formwork and it is also passes easily through small spaces between the rebar. In this paper, the effect of steel fibre on SCC specimens, using four different fibre volume fractions (0.25%, 0.5%, 0.75% and 1%) were investigated. This paper presents the results on the use of fly ash in self-compacting concrete with various percentage such as 10%,15% and 20%. This study investigated the characteristics of flyash bases SCC and effects on steel fibre in it. The properties of conventional concrete made and fly ash based SCC were compared, as well as their mechanical properties were studied.
