An Experimental Investigation on Utilization of Waste Foundry Sand and Fly Ash in Brick

Abstract

The aim of this work is to evaluate the technical quality of solid bricks with added Fly ash and Foundry sand for use of in building restoration. The sample bricks were made using two types of raw materials. The physical and mechanical properties and the durability of the bricks were compared to the clay bricks, so as to assess whether the quality of the bricks had been enhanced or cost saving in raw materials for bricks manufactures and serve as an efficient means of recycling of waste materials.
