Evaluating the Interrelationship Between Logistics Practices and Customer Satisfaction: A Systematic Literature Review

Gbadegesin Adeolu. E

Abstract

This study investigates the nexus between logistics practices and customer satisfaction across diverse industry sectors and geographic locations. Employing rigorous methodological criteria, the study systematically analyzed peer-reviewed articles that focus on logistics variables like delivery time, inventory management, and quality of transportation. The findings consistently indicate that effective logistics practices is crucial for enhancing customer satisfaction. However, the impact of specific logistics components varies depending on the industry and geographic location. Such variations necessitate industry-specific and region-specific logistics strategies for optimizing customer satisfaction. The study also evaluates the methodologies used in existing research, calling for the application of more advanced statistical techniques for a richer understanding. In conclusion, this study not only validates the theoretical constructs linking logistics and customer satisfaction but also exposes gaps that warrant further empirical and sector-specific studies. Policymakers and industry leaders can utilize these insights to develop targeted logistics strategies to improve customer satisfaction.
