Abstract

Properties of Latex modified concrete for the various percentage of Latex and hence optimizes the Latex Percentage. Polymer-modified cement mortars were prepared by varying polymer/cement mass ratio (P/C) with a constant water/cement mass ratio of 0.4. The effect of styrene–butadiene rubber (SBR) emulsion on the physical and mechanical properties of cement mortars is studied. Latex modified concrete was made using 5%, 10% and 15% of polymer admixture of the cement .Styrene Butadiene Rubber latex (SBR) up to 5-10% only. If improvement is not observed, addition of 15% latex (SBR) content is done. When using beyond the 5% of latex solid content showed extremely poor strength. technical data and the typical properties of Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SBR) designed for use with Portland cement plays an important role latex modified concrete .The latex modified concrete has the setting time increase when the latex content is 10% increased, the flexural strength of latex increase the early age strength but lower at long-term strength of concrete. As per split tensile strength of concrete trends was similar the overall result from split tension test was smaller than those from flexural tension tests.
