Engineering Effects of Steel Slag in Concrete and Weld Slag in Concrete- A Review Paper

N. Bhuvaneswari, K. Nirmalkumar

Abstract

Steel slag and weld slag concrete has become an important issue worldwide due to the continued increase of the waste. The growing global construction activities urge to find sustainable resources to replace the natural materials for the production of concrete. In the past few decades, many researchers have been carried out on the use of slag waste to produce the concrete production. This paper reviews the strength and durability of steel slag in concrete and weld slag in concrete. This study tends to explore and review the current issue related to the concrete technology .In these case additionally added the admixture and polypropylene fibre, it reduce the propagation of this cracks. This study to evaluate the strength and durability of concrete incorporating PPF in various proportioning added by the volume of concrete. In this paper, we use the Super plasticizer conplast sp430 for major increases in strength. It is possible major reductions in water: cement ratio which allow the production of high strength concrete without excessive cement contents. In this review determine the properties of concrete using waste slag in concrete.
