Comprehensive Review on Virechana Karma in the Management of Covid-19 Associated Liver Disorders
Abstract
COVID-19 is a pandemic and viral infection caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome and it creates inflammatory environment on endothelial cells and platelets more generally and then with a hepatic focus. Liver injury leads to raised level of alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), Gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT) and Bilirubin. Virechana karma is best therapy. The review was spotted significance of Ayuervdic management virechan karma in liver related complications in COVID-19. Virechana karma can act as a curative, preventive, and health-promoting measure. The review followed the PRISMA guidelines for systematic review. Primary data collections are including inclusion criteria of ayurvedic authentic text books Vruhatri and Brhatryi. The therapeutic purgation virechana karma is safe and effective it eliminates the excessive bilirubin within the body. Prevent inflammatory condition and promote hepatic functions.
