When pharmacological properties such as Rasa, Guna, Virya, Vipaka and karma were analyzed of the materials used, in the Ama stage which was similar with Black heads, white heads and papules, Vimlapana (gentle pressing) and Avasechana (bloodletting)treatments were effective. Pachchamana stage, which is similar with pustules and Nodules, Upanaha (bandaging after applying paste) treatments were effective. At Pakwa stage, which is similar with cysts, Patana (incision and draining) treatments were effective. Then in the protocol shodana (detoxification), ropana (regeneration of loss tissue) and Vaikrutapaham(healing scars/ recovering to normal skin) gave the effect of removing the scar marks.
