Abstract

Securing a home is an indispensable task because of the frequent and rampant cases of intruder attacking home in remote areas. Therefore, most people have chosen different security systems to protect their home. In view of this, motion can be detected base on the advancement in technology. Body generates some heat energy in the form of black body radiation. This makes it possible to detect the motion of an intruder through a sensor that uses this principle. In this work a passive infrared (PIR) detector is used to sense the motion of human being around 6 meters distance through  the body heat and it sends  a signal to a  microcontroller (PIC16F648A) which is capable of putting a call to owner for response.  If the intruder still remain in the vicinity the alarm will be triggered on to alert the neighbors for proper action.
