PLC-Based Library Book Management and Autonomous Book Picking and Placing System
Abstract
This paper presents the design and implementation of a PLC-based automated system for managing, picking, and placing books in a library environment. The system integrates industrial-grade Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) with robotic mechanisms, reducing manual handling and improving operational efficiency. The proposed solution addresses the need for more efficient library management in modern institutions, providing real-time book tracking, minimizing errors, and enhancing user experience. Additionally, the system's scalability allows adaptation in other environments, such as warehouses and inventory management. The research highlights the system’s functionality, innovations, and potential impact on library automation and inventory management.
