IOT BASED STATION NAMES WITH DISTANCE INDICATOR IN RAILWAYS
Abstract
The Smart Train System leverages IoT technology using NodeMCU ESP8266, Blynk IoT, and Adafruit IO to enhance train operations and passenger safety. It features real-time station arrival and departure displays, fire and smoke detection with instant alerts, automatic bathroom water level management, and train movement control via motors. The ESP32 microcontroller enables seamless data transmission to the cloud, allowing railway authorities to monitor conditions remotely and respond to emergencies efficiently. Designed for cost-effectiveness and scalability, the system supports future upgrades like GPS-based tracking, AI-driven predictive maintenance, and multi-station coordination. By automating key functions, it improves operational efficiency, safety, and passenger convenience in railway environments.
