Abstract

The majority of adults around 65 years old suffer from Alzheimer's disease condition. It is a common type of dementia associated with memory loss and affects cognitive impairments. Due to fewer side effects and easy availability, the whole world is concerned about herbal products. Evolvulus alsinoides is one of the valuable herbal used to treat mental disorders in Ayurveda. The aim of this article is to find out the pharmacological effect of Evolvulus alsinoides   and find out the effect of management on Alzheimer's disease condition. Objectives are to identify the phytochemicals and to identify the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects of this plant. Data were collected by using index journal articles in Google Scholar and pub med. Phytochemicals of This herb have a significant antioxidant effect and protect the nerves. Inhibiting effect of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α, IL-6, IL-1β, and IL-8. will reduce the formation of neurotoxins (β –Amyloid). Nootropic effects of Evolvulus alsinoides   help to improve the cognitive function of the brain. Evolvulus alsinoides is the most effective drug to treat Alzheimer's disease condition.
