Abstract


This examination paper depends on the investigations of the different properties of the Garo place of Garo slopes district in Meghalaya-the condition of upper east India. The remarkable design of the houses and the materials utilized in the development makes it exceptional. The external excellence as well as its different perspectives knocks one's socks off and the security measures taken by the merit appreciating. The Garo clans have tracked down their own answer for save the designs from the nature's wrath. These ancestral Garo houses are the best instances of vernacular engineering to be supported during gigantic quake and flood. This paper identifies the development innovation and different elements of a Garo house. The point of this paper is to essence down the Garo house's science and rationale, with the goal that it tends to be valuable for different locales of India which are tremor and flood inclined.
