Divyani R Patil, Miss Siddhi P Patil, Mr. Fejedabanu Shaikh, Mr. Rohit Kumar, Miss Singh Shruti M, Dr. Sunila A Patil

Abstract

This survey was conducted to investigate the distinct population's risk factors for osteoporosis (OP). Millions of adults suffer from osteoporosis (OP), a persistent, serious health issue. This silent disease will continue to restrict the quantity and quality of life for many adults and dramatically increase the expense of healthcare for this population if it is not prevented or cured. A representative sample of the population (N=130) from various Indian cities were taken. Several questionnaires, including the KAP (Knowledge, Attitude, Practice) was used to collect data for the descriptive study in 2023. The questionnaire was distributed via an online platform. In order to improve health and stop the spread of this silent disease, there is an urgent need for more public education and for better transmission of information regarding OP prevention and treatment.
