Awareness, Perception and Mitigation of Blood Cancer

Abstract


Blood cancer touches the function and manufacture of blood cells, originating from the bone marrow where blood creation takes place. Mitochondria play a pivotal role in both apoptosis and tumorigenesis, with mitochondrial DNA mutations potentially contributing to cancer development. Pancreatic cancer serves as a precursor to various cancer-related ailments. Detection of pancreatic cancer involves assessing methylation of genes such as ADAMS1 and BNC in cell-free DNA, enabling early stage tumor detection and treatment. Colorectal cancer screening relies on tumorigenesis or DNA tests to identify genetic alterations associated with tumor formation. DNA-based tests can detect early stages of cancer in bodily fluids, including urine.
