Pulsatile Magnetic Flow and Heat Transfer through a Porous Channel Using Finite Element Techniques

Arjumand Sattar

Abstract

In this paper the pulsatile flow and heat transfer of an incompressible viscous electrically conducting fluid through non-conducting porous plates in the presence of transverse magnetic field. The velocity and temperature distribution are evaluated numerically in addition, the skin friction co-efficient and rate of heat transfer in terms of the Nusselt number at the plates are evaluated numerically using finite element method. The effect of different parameters on Velocity, Temperature, Skin Friction and Nusselt number are discussed with the help of graphs and tables
