Unravelling the Power of Hyperbolic Functions

A. D. Awasare, Vaibhav Bagal

Abstract

Hyperbolic functions constitute a fundamental class of mathematical functions with wide-ranging applications across various fields, including physics, engineering, and mathematics itself. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of hyperbolic functions, including definitions, properties, and key identities. We delve into their geometric interpretation, highlighting their connections to hyperbolas and exponential functions. Moreover, we explore practical applications, such as modeling physical phenomena like electromagnetic waves and describing the behavior of complex systems. By elucidating the significance and utility of hyperbolic functions, this paper aims to enhance understanding and foster further exploration in diverse scientific and engineering disciplines.
