Role of Digital India in strengthening Democracy
Abstract
Digital India program has played an important role in the participation of people in democracy. Digital Technology has enabled citizens to engage in the effective utilization of services, such as social media, and other digital platforms. Young people in India are very active in online they will utilize technology for things such as education, communication and political awareness this paper explains how e-governance, social media and artificial intelligence impact the youth participation in democracy. E-governance has helped to improve access to services from the government while social media has helped to increase the awareness in citizen. Artificial intelligence has also helped the government to improve service and administration.
However, there are problems like lack of internet connectivity in some regions and privacy concerns. The Digital India program is good because it encourages young people at it helps the government to interact with the citizens. This program has brought changes, especially in how people participate in the country’s decision-making process. The Digital India program has brought the things to change for an extent.
