Study on Single-Core vs Dual-Core Processor

Abstract


In the early days first the single core processor is developed. And this paper we will describe the working of the single core to dual processor and advantage of the dual core processor and disadvantage of dual core processor by study various papers. How much reliable dual core then single core. It reduces the time complexity and performance which are describe in this paper. We compare single core processor to dual core processor how much fast the dual core per clock-cycle performs then single core processor. In this paper discussed the single core processor to dual core processor direction of toward dual core processor design. In the previous the clock-speed of single core processor have tapered and thermal and power dissipations have flat but in this single core to dual core processor all the above disadvantages are improved in the dual core processor.
