A Policy for Cloud Computing Load Balancing Based On Virtual Machine Processing Power

Subir Saha, Md. Rizwanul Haque

Abstract

The process by which anyone can access storage, database, and memory of third party through internet is called cloud computing. The service providers provide these services to the end user through virtualization. Load balancing is the most important factor in cloud computing. The main intention of service provider is to provide services keeping in mind proper utilization of the resources and gives the maximum satisfaction to the end user as possible. This process is called load balancing. For this purpose the services provider uses load balancing algorithm. In this paper an enhanced method has been proposed for load balancing in cloud computing. Where the request will be allocate depending on the length of the requested job and the processing power of the virtual machine. The requested job with large length will be allocated in that virtual machine which have maximum processing power based on the processor number. All the virtual machine will get equal number of request but depending on the length of requested job. By this the load in different virtual machine will be same as possible. It is an efficient algorithm for balancing load in cloud computing
