Node Election used in Synchronous Distributed Systems-A Review

Abstract


In distributed computing systems, if associate degree electoral leader node fails, the opposite nodes of the system got to elect another leader. The bully algorithmic program could be a classical approach for electing a frontrunner in an exceedingly synchronous distributed computer system. This paper presents associate degree sweetening of the bully algorithmic program, requiring less time complexness and minimum message passing. This vital gain has been achieved by introducing node sets and tie breaker time. The latter provides a potential resolution to synchronic elections initiated by totally different nodes. As compared with the classical algorithmic program and its existing modifications, this proposal generates minimum messages, stops redundant elections, and maintains fault-tolerant behaviour of the system.
