A Review Article on Botanically Derived Periorbital Rejuvenation Cream
Abstract
The periorbital region, characterized by thin and delicate skin, is highly susceptible to conditions such as dark circles, puffiness, dryness, and premature aging. Conventional cosmetic products often contain synthetic ingredients that may cause irritation or undesirable side effects. Herbal eye creams, formulated with plant-derived components, offer a safer and more effective alternative for rejuvenating this sensitive area. Natural ingredients such as aloe vera, vitamin E, almond oil, cucumber, tea tree oil, amla, and liquorice provide multiple benefits, including hydration, antioxidant protection, reduction of puffiness, fading of dark circles, and enhancement of skin elasticity. The preparation of herbal eye creams typically involves a multi-phase method that combines oil, water, and herbal extracts to produce a stable emulsion. Evaluation parameters—such as pH, viscosity, spread ability, and irritation studies—confirm the safety, stability, and efficacy of the formulation. With increasing consumer preference for natural and chemical-free skincare products, herbal under-eye creams offer a holistic and gentle solution for maintaining youthful and healthy skin while minimizing the risks associated with synthetic formulations.
