Mechanical Properties of Reinforced Polymer Composite of Human Hair and cotton stalk
Abstract
Natural fibers are used in polymer composition by a researcher and academic due to their eco- friendly nature and sustainability. Several studies have been carried out to investigate the various properties of cotton stalk, bamboo, sisal, jute and banana fibers in composites. The aim of this paper is to study the physical properties of epoxy resin- reinforced hair and cotton stalks. Tensile, flexural and impact tests have been carried out on specimens with combinations of hair and cotton stalk in epoxy resin and it is found that the tensile strength of the composite increased because of hair strengthening
