Advancements in Rotary Table - Oil Rigs

Abstract

Oil and natural gas play a vital role in the day to day running of the world, starting from the likes of electricity to transportation. Thus extraction of these oil and natural gases are of importance for the smooth running of the day to day activities. This is facilitated by means of Oil and Natural Rigs, which not alone identifies the various geological resources, but also facilitates the extraction of oil from these resources. These Oil and Natural Rigs have a rotary table which supports a drill assembly, where the drill stems are loosened and tightened. The conventional Mechanical Rotary Tables are provided with a Handle Lock Setup to stop the movement of the rotary table (both clockwise and anticlockwise direction). This process is normally a time consuming one. The above difficulty can be overcome by introducing a Pneumatic Rotary Stopper Setup, wherein the handle lock setup can be actuated by means of pneumatic cylinder and other mechanical components for actuating the cylinder, thus making the process easier, and less time consuming.
