Nihal Raghuwanshi, Aditya Narayan Bhatt

Abstract

The manufacturing industry's industrial revolution has positioned machining operations as the cornerstone of its operations. Industries that engage in material removal operations are placing significant emphasis on selecting the most suitable and efficient machining processes. Machining is an integral aspect of the manufacturing process. Across various industries, machining is performed to eliminate surplus material from work pieces, achieving precise shapes and sizes with accuracy. This study seeks to undertake a comprehensive review and optimization of the turning process for Al 6061. It aims to analyze the impact of machining parameters, namely speed, feed, and depth of cut, on the surface roughness of Aluminium 6061.
