AI-Powered Voice Assistant for Elderly Citizens: Automating Daily Tasks, Health Monitoring, and Emergency Alerts via AI Agents and Wearable Devices

Abstract


Elderly citizens often face challenges in managing daily activities, tracking health parameters, and responding to emergencies. This paper presents an AI-powered voice assistant designed to automate routine tasks, monitor health metrics via wearable devices, and provide emergency alerts. The system leverages AI agents, natural language processing (NLP), and real-time data synchronization using Firebase and Node.js. The assistant schedules appointments, orders essentials, provides news updates, and issues health alerts. By integrating Google Fit API for wearable health tracking and OpenAI’s NLP models for personalized interactions, the solution offers a hands-free and intuitive experience. This paper details the methodology, implementation, and evaluation of the system’s effectiveness in enhancing elderly care and independence.
