Need of Protocol for Dynamic Devices Mobile Internet Protocol

Gausiya Yasmeen

Abstract

Mobile stands for a device which is wireless and movable. This technology gives user a space where he can travel anywhere with the device and connectivity is still intact. Hence to allow this kind of transmission wireless communication is essential. Internet is a persuasive technology which provides transmission of voice, data and video using LAN, Bluetooth, GSM, GPRS and CDMA. Such transmission requires secure and movable connectivity which is provided by a standard Mobile Internet Protocol laid by Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) in the field of Mobile Computing. These protocols are well mentioned in IETF RFC 5944 for IPv4 and extensions are explained in IETF RFC 4721. Mobile IP is a communication protocol for dynamic devices (which moves from one place to other) to maintain connection irrespective of network area. This paper is all about Mobile IP issues, its background, functioning, advantages and conclusion.
