Aworemi J.R, Abiri O.N

Abstract

This article examines the evaluation and optimization of Uber's ride operations in Lagos, Nigeria, using Transport Operations Management Software (TOMS). It reviews various studies and datasets related to transportation in Lagos, highlighting factors that can inform improvements in Uber's operations. The research methodology involves a quantitative cross-sectional design, data collection from Uber's internal records, and statistical analysis using Pearson's chi-squared test. The test results indicate a significant association between the number of trips and the number of vehicles available per area in Lagos. These findings have implications for Uber's service quality, resource allocation, and operational efficiency in the competitive ride-sharing market of Lagos.
