Study on Concrete with Ceramic Waste as Partial Replacement of Coarse Aggregate

Shubham verma

Abstract

Concrete is a combination of cement, fine and coarse aggregates and water. For protecting natural resources, waste materials are used as partial replacement materials for constituents of concrete. In this study ceramic scrap is used as partial replacement for coarse aggregate in production of concrete, Replacement level starts with 0, 10, 20 and 30%, with that concrete compressive, split tensile and flexural strengths were studied at the age of 3,7 and 28 days standard curing. From all obtained values 20% replacement of ceramic scrap shows effective results compared to traditional concrete.
