Abstract

The leukotrienes modifiers such as montelukast stop the action of leukotrienes inflammatory  substances that ply a role primarily vasthma.  Mast cell stabilizers such as cromolyn stop the release of histamine  and other inflammatory  substances from mast cells.  Anti cholinergic agents namely  ipratropium bromide used in combination  with SABs and this drug helps in relaxing  the airways by blocking acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that can constric them. It is more frequently used in chronic  obstructive pulmonary  disease ( COPD). Omlizumab is mono clonal  antibody targets immuno globulin E ( Ig E) and decreases the immune response  that activates asthma  symptoms.  It is meant for severe allergic asthma cases.

Finally it is concluded that bronchial  asthma plays a multifaceted approach along with medications
