Understanding Arrhythmia: Causes, Symptoms, and Treatment Options

Abstract


Arrhythmia,  a condition  manifested  by irregular  heart rhythms, influences millions of people world wide. Causes for Arrhythmias include heart disease , electrolyte imbalances, high blood pressure, smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, stress and certain medications. Symptoms of Arrhythmia include dizziness, light headedness, fainting, chest pain and fatigue. Diagnosis  is dependent  upon ECH, echo cardiogram, stress rest and electro physiological studies.  Treatment  is dependent upon medication therapy, Cardiac procedures and in some cases surgery. Finally  it is concluded  that Arrhythmia  is a common Cardiac condition  that can have significant implications for an individuals health and well being.
