Leakage Current Reduction by Using Quasi Z Source Converter for BLDC Motor Drive Applications

Abstract


Six switch-three phase inverter is used in current systems. A topology of the Four Switch Three Phase Inverter (FSTPI) has been recently proposed and used for a three phase BLDC motor drive. The key features of this BLDC motor drive are reduction of the number of power inputs, dc power supplies, switching driver circuits, losses and overall price. This proposed BLDC motor drive application by using quasi Z source converter has been implemented using MATLAB/Simulink software to obtain the speed-torque characteristics.
