Abstract

A day without electricity is a day of trouble. In a changing and modernizing world, it is extremely important to modernize our electrical world. The introduction of Smart Grid is one of the best opportunities for the development of the energy sector. The evolution of the smart grid with new sensors, devices, meters, cables and substations with advanced functionality. This benefits both customers and utilities. It leads to a green revolution by using renewable energy in smart grids. Different projects are being implemented in different states with the mission of new phase of power grid. In our article, we present the electric and smart grid and its components and technology. Smart Grid is an advanced digital bidirectional power flow system capable of self-healing, adaptive, flexible and sustainable forecasting under various uncertainties. In this article, we take a detailed look at the various Smart Grid enabling technologies, smart grid measurement in the smart grid, and smart grid applications. In this article, we also describe the possibilities and future of the smart grid. For smart grid empowering advances Smart meters, Smart sensors, vehicle to grid, plug-in hybrid electric vehicle innovation.
