Analysis of Self-Supporting Steel Chimney Using STAAD Pro

Vaikuntham K, Dr.K. Sudha

Abstract

In the present study, 80m tall self-supporting Steel Chimney Analyzed for seismic and wind loads using STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition V22. Earthquake analysis is performed as per IS 1893(Part 4)-2016 and wind analysis is done as per IS 875(Part 3)2015. Response spectrum methods are used for the seismic analysis. From the study, it is concluded that static behavior of tall self-supporting steel chimneys.
