Abstract

Basalt Fibre Reinforced Polymer (BFRP) is a material practiced in civil engineering field and it has shown to be a promising material for infrastructure strength and durability. Among the various methods BFRP wrapping supports in increasing durability of concrete by reducing permeability, resisting high temperature, resisting chemical attack etc. In this paper basalt geo grid were used to wrap at the middle portion, top, bottom portion and fully on the concrete elements and to evaluate the load vs deflection of the concrete specimen by wrapped the basalt sheet at the middle portion, top and bottom portion and fully on the concrete specimen.
