Optimization of Biogas Production Using Food Waste by Floating Drum Type Anaerobic Reactor

Abstract


Around one third of world food production is wasted through food supply chain which creates social and environment problems due to uncontrolled disposal of food waste produces greenhouse gases such as CH4, CO2, H2S through anaerobic digestion. The biogas can be recovered when the anaerobic digestion process is carried out in an environment, it can be used a fuel which is alternate to non-renewable energy. The digested food waste is rich in nutrient can be utilized as manure. In this project, we have done experimental production of biogas from food waste.
