Using Nonlinear Time History Analysis Find a Performance of Diagrid Structure with different Plan Geometry

A. S. Kulkarni

Abstract

This research study conducts nonlinear dynamic analysis of reinforced concrete diagrid building with different plan geometry. Diagrid system has strong structural efficiency than other systems, a unique geometric configuration used for different structure heights, better architectural view. some of distinct constructing models were developed to carry out the analysis, as diagonal lattice body, 4- and eight-tale degree homes have been analyzed with rectangular and square plan homes. The analysis is done using non-linear dynamic analysis applying nine ground motion records. All three ground motions are scaled using model time periods. The three ground excitations are applied separately using the SAP2000 software package that was used to develop the building models and perform nonlinear dynamic analyses. The comparison of analysis results related to story shift. Keeping the same plan area and structural data for diagrid system for time-history analysis. Based on the result of time-history analysis story responses for diagrid building square plan significantly differ from, responses obtained of diagrid building rectangular plan.
